Featured Headsets:
- Meta Quest 3: Priced at €454 (excluding VAT) for 128 GB of storage, the Meta Quest 3 offers the best value among contemporary VR headsets. It features advanced specifications like pancake lenses, a double LCD, and high resolution per eye. The headset includes 6DoF inside-out tracking and comes with two controllers. While the default headband may not be the most comfortable, better options are available. Operating on Android with 8GB of memory and a newer chipset, the Quest 3 provides high performance at a competitive price. If data storage in the US is a concern, or if kiosk mode is needed, alternative solutions such as MDM tools or other headsets might be considered.
- Pico 4 Enterprise: At €899 (excluding VAT) for 256 GB of storage, the Pico 4 Enterprise is more expensive, but it offers advanced features suitable for business applications, including kiosk mode right out of the box and data storage within the EU, which aligns with strict privacy standards. This makes it an excellent alternative for those wary of Meta's US-based data storage or those requiring a dedicated enterprise solution.
- Pico G3: This headset costs €399 (excluding VAT) for 128 GB of storage and features 3DoF tracking, which, although limited compared to 6DoF tracking, is sufficient for the Warp VR app. If your use case involves more advanced spatial tracking needs, other headsets offering 6DoF may be necessary.
Privacy Focus:
- Data Security with Warp VR: While the Meta Quest 3 and Pico headsets store only account setup information, all operational and user engagement data through the Warp VR app are securely handled and stored on servers located in the EU. Our commitment to data security ensures that your personal and operational data remain protected under the EU's stringent privacy standards. For more info: Security and compliance
Cautionary Advice:
- Apple Vision Pro: We have yet to support the Apple Vision Pro officially. Its introduction in February 2024 brought cutting-edge technology to the forefront of VR, but integration into our supported devices is pending.
- Meta Quest 2: Although its successor, the Meta Quest 3, offers newer technology at a great price, the Quest 2 remains a cost-effective option. Buyers should be aware of the potential shorter lifespan regarding software updates and support from Meta.
- Pico Neo 3 Pro: While a viable option, newer models like the Pico 4 Enterprise and G3 provide updated features and better support, making them more suitable for current and future VR needs.
